How Does Laser Therapy Work?

We use a handheld device to direct the laser to the parts of the body that need the treatment. We welcome you to stay in the room during the procedure - pets often feel calmer when their favorite person is in the room with them! Typically, our Barrington veterinarians will use the laser for three to eight minutes, depending on the part of the body that is being treated.

Everyone including your pet will need to wear special goggles to protect their eyes from the laser while it is being used.
